4 ‘HOUSE RULES’ to Get the Party Started Right this St. Patrick’s Day

This St. Patrick’s Day, you don’t have to be Irish to don green and hit the streets in Houston to celebrate. But don’t depend on luck to end the night safely – planning ahead should be part of your celebration, from the parade to the pub. On March 17th, and every day, it’s important to enjoy responsibly.

Even the luckiest four-leaf clover can’t prevent the negative effects of harmful drinking, but these ‘HOUSE RULES’ from Bud Light can:

  1. Have a game plan: Designate a driver, download a rideshare app like Lyft, and/or stash some cash in your pocket to cover cab fare.
  2. Know your limits: Not all drinks are created equal. The amount of alcohol in a drink may vary depending on the size and recipe. Know your limits and keep track of how many drinks you have consumed.
  3. Bring on the food: Bust out high protein foods like wings to help slow down the absorption of alcohol.
  4. Keep hydrated: Drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Pace yourself and encourage friends to do the same by alternating alcohol-based drinks with non-alcohol based beverages.

Join Silver Eagle Distributors and Anheuser-Busch this St. Patrick’s Day, and all year-round, in following the Bud Light ‘HOUSE RULES.’ Those who plan ahead and enjoy responsibly will have luck on their side. No matter what hue of green you’re wearing, or where your festivities take you, we should all agree that drunk driving is 100 percent preventable. This St. Patrick’s Day—and every day—Enjoy Responsibly.
