HOUSTON, TX (October 21, 2019) – New Braunfels-based Dos Rios Tequila, LLC and local beer and spirits wholesaler, Silver Eagle Distributors Houston, are proud to announce a distribution partnership that will expand the Texas born tequila brand’s craft spirit offerings to the Bayou City. The partnership with Dos Rios marks Silver Eagle Houston’s first tequila offering added to its craft spirits portfolio. Beginning this week, Silver Eagle Houston will work with Dos Rios to rollout into the metro area market of Houston.

After taking a chance trip to Mexico to visit tequila country, Rick Sturdevant founded Dos Rios Tequila in New Braunfels, Texas in 2018. An artisanal tequila cooked “low and slow” just like great Texas barbecue, Sturdevant and partners, Alex Hassinger, Jack Wisdom, and Dwayne Skrivanek, set out to create a unique new flavor for the modern consumer. Dos Rios is not the tequila of old. No salt or lime needed, crafted with the smoothest finish and made to enjoy neat, Dos Rios follows the tradition of the Great State of Texas; big, bold and as smooth as the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers, from which it is named after.
Using agave born from rich volcanic soil in the city of Amatitán, in the lowland region of the State of Jalisco, the Dos Rios portfolio includes two craft tequilas, cooked traditionally in brick ovens and rested to maintain an extremely smooth taste. The double distilled, USDA Organic line-up includes:
Dos Rios Blanco Tequila – 40% ABV (80-proof), crystal clear in color with a smooth and sweet flavor profile, this 100% agave tequila has a fresh aroma with hints of citrus fruits.
Dos Rios Reposado Tequila – 40% ABV (80-proof), this 100% agave tequila is barrel aged for nine months, giving it a rich straw hue and enhanced, balanced flavor of agave with notes of oak and a fresh agave aroma.
