Local community partners join together to encourage responsibility during Fiesta®
SAN ANTONIO (April XX, 2014) – As thousands prepare to descend upon San Antonio to celebrate one of the most festive events in the region, Silver Eagle Distributors and Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of Fiesta®, are encouraging Fiesta attendees to celebrate responsibly during the 11-day event by planning ahead with a safe ride home.
For the sixth year in a row, the Fiesta Safe Rides® program is being offered to festival goers thanks to a partnership between the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission, Silver Eagle Distributors, the Valero Energy Foundation and Yellow Cab. The program provides consumers with a $20 Yellow Cab pre-paid taxi card that can be used for transportation to and from Fiesta events. Two-thousand cards are available for this year’s event, and are valid throughout Fiesta. Those interested in utilizing the program can pick up a card at the Yellow Cab offices. A select amount of cards will also be handed out during various Fiesta events.

Thanks to responsibility efforts across the city, last year marked the fourth-consecutive year of no alcohol-related deaths during Fiesta. “By utilizing the programs put in place for Fiesta, and talking with family and friends to plan ahead, we can all do our part to ensure 2015 is another safe and fun time for festival-goers across the city,” adds Nau.
